Why now?
On April 22, 2025, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and FDA announced a plan to phase out petroleum-based synthetic dyes from the food supply, including Red 40, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6 — citing their links to hyperactivity, allergies, and developmental concerns in children.
These dyes are already banned or labeled with warnings in the EU and Canada — and now the U.S. is catching up. We stand with the science.
